Now that you have found your trees, it’s time for step 2. Set your tree straps around eye level on each of the trees. Only hang the hammock as high as you’re willing to fall. It’s rare that a hammock will rip but you never know what can happen – so it’s good to play it safe.

Generally speaking, if you are on uneven ground then you might want to take some caution so that the hammock is evenly hung between the trees at the same relative height.

SET UP THE HAMMOCK
